Laura Robertson is the Humanities Department Chair at St. Anne's-Belfield School where she also team teaches American Studies and acts as an advisor. Prior to taking on her current role, she served as the director of the English as a Second Language program for over a decade. In addition to her work at St. Anne's-Belfield, she has also collaborated with educators Peter Gow and Chris Thinnes in the creation of #PubPriBridge (www.pubpribridge.net), which nurtures conversations between independent and public school teachers interested in improving pedagogical practices and sharing experiences. The group hosts bi-weekly Twitter chats on a variety of educational topics. In her spare time, Robertson uses Twitter (as @mamarobertson4) and her blog whatteachersmakeblog.com to reflect upon trends, innovations, and technology within the context of education. She was recently named a NAIS Teacher of the Future. She lives in Charlottesville, Va with her husband and four children.
