Each learner has their own learning style, strengths, and needs therefore different customized instruction is necessary as well. In turn, the role of the educator and the learning environment must adjust to meet those new demands. Schools shouldn’t look or act like traditional school structures anymore.

Since each student has their own learning path, multiple strategies are needed to meet their different learning styles:
* All should have a personalized learning plan created to facilitate progress at their own pace
*All curriculum requirements should be based upon a competency based system instead of by grade level requirements
*All should have flexibility in creating unique course scheduling, learning environments, and choosing support resources

In turn, this also more than changes the role of the teacher, it changes the whole system! Teachers become:
*Assessors
*Instructional Designers
*Content Curators
*Coaches
*Advisors
*Family-school Collaborators
These changes when executed correctly, will create a powerful shift in classroom dynamics that guides all learners to become self-directed, self-monitoring, and self-motivated.
