A presentation of innovative STEAM projects from International Grammar School, Sydney, Australia. Join Melissa Silk to learn about the activities developed in the STEAM Room. Apart from the coding clubs, Melissa has set up CAD-CAM-Central, an elementary level maker space where current and emerging technologies are explored. Observe how the role of STEAM Innovator at IGS has led to collaborative projects involving music, visual arts and technology such as “Primordial Hum”, an interactive happening, incorporating augmented reality and student electronic music composition based on New Guinea mudmen mask-making in the art class. Then there’s “Tanabata” a project for younger students that smashes science, math and technology into an experience related to the notion of wishing on a star. And so much more…
