Claire Varner is the Chief Academic Officer at Hstry, a Boston-based Ed-Tech startup dedicated to increasing student engagement by giving teachers and students the tools to create interactive timelines. Varner received her M.Ed. from Concordia University in Curriculum & Instruction, conducting her action research on the attitudes of young language learners while teaching English in China. Upon her return to the U.S., Varner taught middle school social studies at a proficiency-based school in Maine with a 1:1 laptop program.
