Celebrating 29 years in education, I began my journey in the Forest Hills School District as a third grade teacher, moved to fourth grade and then became the gifted specialist for 10 years. Life really took a drastic (but awesome turn) in 2006 when I accepted the position of Instructional Technology Specialist for the district, where I would spend the next 10 years learning everything I could about new ways of thinking about learning. My greatest passion is personalized learning, so much so that I decided to return to the classroom this year; I plan English Language Arts experiences for fifth graders. Student agency, voice and choice and ownership of learning are my passions.
